We were established in 1959 based on the conclusion of Cecil Laughlin, Jr., that apartment renters needed a service to assist them in their hunt for a new apartment home. Mr. Laughlin also believed owners had a need for pre-qualified prospects to reduce the time their on-site staffs spent with unqualified prospects. His concept was owners should only pay a fee once the community generated revenue from our service.
Since 1959, we have maintained a steady expansion program that provides our quality free service nationwide to renters and pre-qualified prospects to owners. We serve over 100 major US markets with local offices, call centers, and multiple affiliations.
HOW WE WORK:
Prospects from the United States and globally contact our local office, call center or email us. Each prospect is assigned a trained leasing consultant who obtains the information needed to select communities from our database. The consultant contacts each matched community for availability dates and current pricing information. Then a tailor made presentation is delivered through our exclusive internet website program called SHOWME to the prospect.
Next, the consultant sells the prospect on the choices and involves the community until the prospect visits the community or leases by mail. Each time the prospect views the community information page a notice is emailed to the community with the prospects name, contact information, visit date, move date, hot button and specials needs. This provides a real time opportunity for the leasing staff to invite the prospect to visit the community as well as updating the prospect and us on price changes and availabilities.
Once the prospect visits the community, your staff takes over the closing.
